The date of our Football Banquet has changed to November 26, which is a Tuesday. The time, however, remains the same: 6:00PM to 8:00PM. We look forward to seeing all players and parents at the banquet and please contact Assistant Coach Argue regarding the food your family will be contributing!
Dear Parents: Well the end of the football season is in sight, and although the season hasn’t turned out the way we had hoped, we did some amazing accomplishments this season. First of all the children got to play the game, a game that teaches you a lot about yourself. These young boys and girls are on the road to being young men and women, and that is one of the most important goals after all.
Next through the generosity of the football community we have secure funds that will improve the equipment of the Mustangs. Next year new blue jerseys, game pants will be available through the generosity of the Rundle College Family, new helmets and other equipment will be available because of the Mustang Alumni and Willie (Butch) Caston the Branch Manager of Douglas Glen Alberta Treasury Branch. Also Canadian Tire and their “Jump Start” have given many young people the opportunity to play this year, and once again that is what is important. There are many others that have given to let our children play, and I express my sincere thanks.
I would also like to give thanks to all by your efforts this year, and in doing so I would like to resurrect the Mustang Family Potluck Banquet. This Banquet would be held on Wednesday November 26th (6:00 to 8:00 p.m.) at Highwood High School in the center court area. We will present pictures to all football players, thank them for their efforts, and grade 12’s will be issued the retiring blue jerseys. Also we will give some of the minor awards to our deserving players. Our Major awards will be voted on this night and presented at our year-end awards night in June. (The Night Of the Mustangs).
I would like to call on again for the parents of the players to help organize this “Potluck Football Family Night”. Please e-mail me if you can help in taking on this venture. (email@example.com)
